LG 32LC7D-UB Tuner not finding stations
I am having an issue with the tuner on my set. The tuner has always had trouble picking up a few channels during search that my other sets could pick up fine. Sometimes it would pick up these stations on one scan and lose them on the next. The other day I tried the channel setup again and it could no longer find any stations at all, even stations that were working minutes before. Is this a tuner issue, main board?

Re: 3 phase connection
In motor applications if you swap any two lines the motor direction will reverse. If you move all three lines (1->2 2->3 3->1) the motor direction will not be changed.

Re: Cat + snowglob = dead sub
Those replacements aren't available either. But after looking at the specs for them, the ones I am looking at have similar Vgs and Rds values. So if the ones you listed are valid replacements the ones I listed will work.

Re: Cat + snowglob = dead sub
I am also looking at the ZVP4105A to replace the 2SJ460. I am concerned if these replacements are acceptible because the orginals have a Vgs of 7v and the replacements have a Vgs of 20v.

Re: Cat + snowglob = dead sub
I am looking at the BSS138LT3G to replace the 2SK2158. Would this be an acceptible replacement? Would I have to change any bias resistors? These are used in the buffer amp and the auto power switching sections of the sub.

Re: Cat + snowglob = dead sub
That's been my problem. Since I am not familiar enough with FETs I don't know which specs are the important ones and that no two will list all of the same specs (even by the same manufaturer), I haven't felt comfortable about choosing one.

Has anyone done business with them? How does it work?

Re: Infinity PS-12 Powered Subwoofer Fired Amplifier
From the looks of the board I think that you could repair it. I would clean the white ash off and make sure the traces are Okay. If not, you could try running a jumper to replace it. After you replace the capacitors I would put a conformal coating over the area to keep it from shorting out again. Clear nail polish would probably work for the coating.

Cat + snowglob = dead sub
I am trying to repair an Aiwa TSW-45 subwoofer after my cat knocked off and busted a snowglob on. I am trying to cross all of the semis. I have found replacements for all of the transistors but I am having trouble with the Mosfets because they have ben discontinued. Does anyone know of a current replacement for a 2SJ460 and a 2SK2158. I have tried looking thru the datasheets to try and cross them. I would be nice if they would all list the same specs. I got out of school before FETs were popular and therefor don't know which specs are the important ones.

Re: Help Vizio VW32LHDTV10A no pix no sound no backlight
Sorry the brain didn't connect with the fingers on the last post. An overheating processor wouldn't cause the original problem. I have looked at a lot of the other threads and have checked all of the regulators. Unless I have missed something all of the voltages seem to be in range. I unfortunately do not own an ESR meter so I can't check the caps.

Help Vizio VW32LHDTV10A no pix no sound no backlight
I am trying to troubleshoot a VW32LHDTV10A. The orginial complaint is that it would sometimes not power up (VIZIO turns white but no picture no sound no backlight). Since this is an intermittent issue I am having trouble with diagnosis. The first time I tried to turn it on the problem showed up. When I turned it off and back on the unit turned on normally. I let the unit run for about 6 hours before it shut it itself off. Let unit set unplugged for several days before I could examine it. Since that time everytime I plug it in and turn to test it, it works. Checking the voltage regulators I get...

Re: Gassy Nixie Tubes
The silvery coating in most vacuum tubes is caused from the small bead of mercury that is placed inside during the evacuation and sealing operation. When the heating coil in the tube is energized the mercury will vaporize and burn off or trap any impurities left inside. Where and how the mercury deposits on the glass seams to be random. My guess would be that the film was always there and that the tube is starting to get weak and therefore not showing through as well.

Re: Vizio VW42lHDTV10A no pix, no sound, won't turn off
I am fighting a similar issue with a VW32LHDTV10A, no pix, no sound, no backlight, front indicator turns white. Does any know where I can find schematics for this? I have found a service manual but no schemats. So far the unit will power on normally part of the time however I ran the tv for an extended period yesterday (about 6 hours) and it quit. I haven't tried to see if will power up again.
