Hi, Budm, thanks. can you give some direction that how to do it. Or you have poster how to deal with these cases. you only put one layer Silicone thermal interface pad or a few layers to fill whole gap between metal frame and green pcd board. need pressure to make it tight? thank you....

Hi, Budm, I have a samsung 52" TV with same issue. when TV is cool, have exact same black band as in you picture. after tv is hot, black band disappeared. Do you mean pressure the connection area on the green circuit board?
1)What do you think: if I try to heat it, make the glue melt and solid again.
2)put some rubber between green circuit board and metal frame. I know there is a rubber that can transfer heat. What is the name and where I can buy it?

capleaker and budm, I have two questions,
(1) I will buy an esr or lcr meter to measure the surface mount components on the lcd panel board or main unit. point is which one is better to measure or test these small components in circus? Can you give me some advice or recommend model and brand?
(2) for OSCILLOSCOPE, it is big useful in repairing job? comparing DIGITAL and Analog, which is better for LCD TV repairing job?

you are absolutely correct. the two caps are bulged in both master and slave inverter boards. after replacing them(680uf, 35v with caps (1000uf, 35v). no problem at all now. Thank you so much....Last edited by sheen818; 03-29-2015, 08:29 PM.Leave a comment:

“24V rail filter caps”, are these C240A-D? if yes, I had replaced in the first time. if not, can you tell me which one? By the way, I had replaced C242, 2.2uf, 50V.
when I replace C241 in second time, I removed these 4 C240A-D caps, and measure esr, all of them are 0.06-0.09, they are ok, then installed them back. my meter is fluke 83, not sure if it is true RMS DMM....Last edited by sheen818; 03-29-2015, 06:10 PM.Leave a comment:

I bought this 470uf, 50V from local store. it's esr is 016. maybe half an hour, it bulged. replaced with another esr 0.09, 470uf, 35v cap, in 30 seconds, it bulged. only this cap bulged, no others, and voltage is 24v. why it bulged again, again? I think it bulged so fastly, should not be because of esr, it is something else. yes, the cap got very hot. sorry, I don't have oscilloscope, only have multimeter and esr meter....Last edited by sheen818; 03-29-2015, 09:07 AM.Leave a comment:

all of the caps(C240A-D, C241) are 24.01V or 24.02V. I replace C241 with 50V, 470uf. TV is working now a few hours, now is ready to blow out. voltage is ok, I think if current is problem? Thanks....Last edited by sheen818; 03-28-2015, 03:12 PM.Leave a comment:

I fixed my esr-micro meter. Then I remove 5 caps (C240A~D, 1000uF 35V) and C242(50v, 2.2uf) caps from board, C240, all of them got 0.06 ohem esr and around 1050uf, should be good. C242, 4.7ohem, 2.5uf, is good too. Decide to try again. For C241, I have 35v, 240uf, 85oC, 0.09 esr, and 470uf, 35v, 105oC, 0.11 esr(installed it last time). Which better? pictures show new caps. I bought these caps on ebay and my ESR-micro v4.0s meter is broken, and no way to measure ESR. The seller don't know if it is low esr. I can install caps correctly and measure some components around the cap, don't find bad parts. I only measure them with ohm, don't find short or open parts. in left lower side, C241(below arrow) is 470uf, 35v, always blow out after replace it. I know some components are bad. no idea which? Hope someone help me. after blowing out, tv is still working normal. I have some tech skills, but need to learn a lot. Thanks.... -
