  • Re: LCD Vertical Adjustment

Thank you for the input, I will have to play with this issue a while to figure what exactly the culprit is. Let you know how the repair is coming along.

  • Re: LCD Vertical Adjustment

Thank you for the input. I will followup when I get the LCD back together. The caps on the PCB look ok, no swelling or cracks. I replaced all the caps on the power PCB but did not touch the video PCB. Thanks again.

  • Re: LCD Vertical Adjustment

Thank you for the response-you must be an early riser too!! It looks normal during the boot but it is hard to tell with just text.

    LCD Vertical Adjustment

Hello,Just had a question about what circuit controls the vertical adjustment for a main PCB on an Acer AL 1716 Display. I changed out all the Caps but that did not fix the issue. The Icons for instance are all stretched out verically and I can't adjust it to look normal. Same with all text and web pages. The light and color are fine and the screen boots up normally. Just have this vertical alignment issue which I can't fix. Drivin me nuts. Any suggestions??
    Thank you

  • Re: Un-Identified componet

Yes I have an iron and meter, I made note of the orientation. It is consistent with the other caps in that area. I am not familar with how to solder the cap and capsule below it. Do I just mount them both and get the solder hot below the plastic base?...

  • Re: Samsung SyncMaster 914V-No Display

Thank you for your time on this. Originally the screen would come up while Windows booted. The Win 7 logo would appear and the program would load. Then the screen went blank after about a minute. I changed out the capacitors near the rear or the PCB. There were 7 total. That seemed to correct the phase out problem but now the screen just has straight vertical lines-no colors-just B&W.They are in rows about 2" wide. Some parts of the screen are just black. Hope that helps--Thank you again for your time and input

  • Samsung SyncMaster 914V-No Display

Thank you for any help here-I am trying to get this Samsung SyncMaster 914V back to life here and need some help. I have replaced most of the caps because I was losing the display after the system booted into Windows. After replacing the caps I seem to have corrected the drop out problem but now all I get on the display are straight vertical lines up and down the screen. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you....

  • Re: Help Identifing the fuse

Thank you for the response. It is reading .2 ohms. This is the Power PCB for a Samsung Sync Master 914V LCD. I changed most of the caps but still cannot get a good signal on the LCD. It started by losing any screen after about 1 minute. Thought I would strart by swapping out most of the caps--still not video, just straight vertical lines on the LCD.
