came in a typical bubbled caps.
i saw another thread on the 242fhd-t11 but it looked different inside then mine did.
im getting 4.95v to the inverters.
i replaced all the caps on the power board.(they were bubbled) with panasonic NHG's.
the TV gets the blue light, it shows no picture. but when turning it off, i get the white screen with the olivia logo. then it turns off.
-i must note i dont know if it has sound i only tested it with a pc using the VGA imput. im about to try VGA now.

Re: GeForce 6600 Blown Capacitors
you made alot of good points.
i dont know these things, your first post sounded like half-ass.
but your reasoning is solid as it gets...
caps are so complicated, im still learning.
thanks for the explination on all that, i like panasonic caps. i get them from digikey.com they seam to be really good i select caps based off the hours @ 105c i like the 5000-10000 hour models. so i most likely wouldnt have bought the ruby's but i know ruby and feel there good. infact i bought some 3300uf 6.3's MBZ...

Re: bad caps on audio controller box?
i had some problems with a power supply for a LCD monitor one time i replaced the caps and it went downhill. so i think maybe some of my cap selection was wrong.

Re: GeForce 6600 Blown Capacitors
why do a half-ass repair job?
if your ordering parts anyways the price differance is in the cents......

Re: bad caps on audio controller box?
this box has a interesting function in the audio kit, it brings the signal in and feeds it to the amp. aswell as deals with power, turning the unit on, and such. it actualy does get warm, while not 'hot'... but a couple of years of heat might affect it?
this box is the problem, the amp is fine.
a few years ago i bought another one of these controller boxes for the same EXACT stupid issue..
the problem is in this box in the pictures.
i wasnt looking for people to rethink...Last edited by onegoodpcguy; 01-14-2012, 01:11 PM.

Re: Hanns-G HG281D, LCD Monitor no power
i did this repair of the caps on the vga/hdmi imput board.
the monitor now turns on and then turns right off.
it used to turn on and have the fuzzy problem. now it turns on and back off.
it seams like the top left corner is a bit dim, but it only stays on for 2seconds max.
the light stays blue.
i didnt replace ANY caps on the power supply.
i DId replace ALL the caps on the controller board
(small hg281 board) and the inverter board (the 4 270uf 35v) ones.
