No, neither have I but I guess if one can freeze a plate (one half of the thermoelectric cell) then it would collect water. Not too sure about efficiency though. -
I have not seen designs for dehumidifiers using Peltier thermal transfer systems. I suppose they would be more reliable seeing that they have no compressor. I would like to see a DIY version. -
Yes, Capt. The compressor and fan run and some water is collected in the tank, before cutting out. -

Delongho Dehumidifier DX-10
About four year old keeping my shed dry. It runs for about 5 or 10 minutes and then cuts out regardless of the dryness setting. Green light stays on. The tank is not full. Any suggestions? Hoping someone, here, has has had the same problem. Any help would be appreciated.... -

My name is Tony Cunningham (tcjeep) I'll be 75 years old next week. I've been in electronics all my working life. My eyesight, over the years has not improved and components have got so much smaller. Although I am retired now, I am still very much involved with building projects and odd repairs. I live in New Zealand.
