Newton Message Pad

I'm a newbie on this forum.

I have an original Newton Message pad and was wondering if I might damage it electronically if I power it up for too long. I powered it on for only about 1 minute just to see if it had any life left in it.

Any idea how many capacitors should be replaced or other updates I should expect before it could become reliable?...

Hi everybody. I'm getting into electronically restoring vintage radios and tvs and would like to eventually get into putting together custom circuits related to home automation projects.
