I had the same and I got it to work, I had problems with the programmer saying it was a 512kb chip and not a 1mb, I read the original and I got a 64kb file, when I tried to load the 128kb file it kept failing but after several attemps it worked, even though it still read as 64kb the laptop boots
...

Got this LG tv, no picture or backlights, check volts and get 24v ok, but blon only .01v, so suspect mainboard, can these be swapped out ok?... -

Ok sorry it's late, the transistor is the one on the first pic of the top, top right hand side next to the heatsink, the smd cap is underneath near to it c525.

Hi, I managed to fix mine, it was a cap that took a transistor out, I can look up the numbers if you want to give it a go....Leave a comment:

In standby I have 0v at the led connector, 1.4v at c505 and 1.7v at c316
when turned on I get 2v at led, 2v at c505 and 2.3v at c316
