I plan on taking the back off this weekend and taking some snap shots. Thanks for the service manual link. I havn't done any type of work on tv's before, but I am mechanicly inclined. I see this as a good opportunity to learn something new.

Hello! This is my first time posting here. Just came across this website, and hoping the community here may be able to help me solve my problem.

I have a Sony Bravia 32". When I turn it ON, the picture shows for a moment, then goes blank. The TV stays on though, with the audio still playing. If I turn it off then back on, the picture will come on again, then go blank. It does this every time I turn it off and on. The picture itself looks fine when it's on, but it goes blank after a second or two of being on, every time.

Any ideas of what the problem could be?...
