Hi need advise/help,
I have a acer aspire 4740G it weird.... right now it facing this issue, charging the notebook even without ac on. When I place in the battery power on the ac, it show charging. after turning ac off it still reflect charging..... any advise?...

When ac is plug in the notebook charge, but when you off the power the notebook still showing charging. the adapter I have had an LED indicator when this happen with ac off I plug the adapter. The LED Indicator on the adapter show AC is on and It is off. I run through all looks okie just this IC seem hot. So thought of replacing it and try. I went around to check never see any report on this fault before. -

just to add when i removed one of the MOSFET marked 4435GM on it. the blinking stop. when I replace a similar specs MOSFET it start blinking again.Leave a comment:

acer are mostly caused by those ceramic caps. which normally get very hot at those caps but this one including the SMSC chip get hot too, the area where the internal battery pack is connected to get hot.Leave a comment:

I have this samsung sf-310 when plug in the led on the power adapter blink. I have fixed acer series before but this particular one seen hard to pin point. Adapter is a working one tested on another samsung. anyone familar with this model? -
