I fixed the problem by removing the flex cable from the T-Con board and cleaning the contacts with an air spray.
It seems that dust particles caused this, and since vertical lines usually have something to do with this particular board, I tried my luck at cleaning it again, and it worked.

After I soldered this point to the nearest ground, the TV actually turned on, but it also showed me why this switching problem existed in the first place.

Can someone tell me if this is an LED strip issue or a motherboard/flex cable issue? After I soldered this point to the nearest ground, the TV actually turned on, but it also showed me why this switching problem...

If I understand correctly, you soldered this point to the ground and thereby disabled the said protection. May I ask you where the nearest ground was that you soldered to?...

Re: Software to analyze Video RAM faults on graphics cards?
Perhaps I am doing something wrong. When I input the following command I get an error message "command not found".

Did you set up a normal DOS USB stick or how did you test your card?Code:Re: Software to analyze Video RAM faults on graphics cards? Perhaps I am doing something wrong. When I input the following command I get an error message "command not found".
./mats -e 10
Re: Software to analyze Video RAM faults on graphics cards?
Does this one support the Nvidia 8 and 9 series?
If so, that would be great.
EDIT: It does not work on GTX 260 or 9800GT or 8800GT....Last edited by bundlestars; 06-11-2022, 04:56 AM.

Re: Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Master No POST
The backup BIOS chip was replaced with a new backup BIOS chip that I purchased from an eBay seller.
I have previously bought BIOS chips from him and told him to program the latest available BIOS onto this replacement chip.
My concern is that only those 2 BIOS LEDs light up and the light on the IO shield but the chipset LED and everything else doesn't light up at all and it should normally be lit as soon as you start the PC....

Re: Software to analyze Video RAM faults on graphics cards?
Hello Richard. I have tested this software and do not see any advantages over the MATS USB version.
From what I understand this guy just added support for several other GPUs (AMD) of the newer generations.
I was expecting support for older GPUs, particularly the Nvidia 8 and 9 series as I have many of these iconic cards, but haven't been able to test any of them as they aren't supported.
I got the same result as with MATS USB version.

Re: Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Master No POST
Thank you for your reply. As I said, the CPU gets hot, but only after a few minutes.
No other CPU was tested on this board because I didn't have one. In any case, the BIOS is the latest version and this board supports the mentioned CPU because it worked without problems until several weeks ago and then suddenly stopped working one morning.
The CPU has already been cleaned with isopropanol, but that didn't change anything.
I don't know how to measure CPU voltage, maybe you can tell...

Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Master No POST
Hi all, I hope I'm not asking too much with my first post, but I was wondering (since I couldn't find a similar issue here on the forum with the same board) if anyone has seen or experienced anything like this.
The motherboard basically boots up and the CPU light doesn't go out, the CPU cooler spins without any problems and after a few seconds the board reboots into the second BIOS and tries to boot that way but no lights except the BIOS LED and the CPU light will light up.
Basically, there is no post and since the CPU is not recognized, no other lights turn on. Can...Last edited by bundlestars; 06-07-2022, 01:50 PM.
