Hi there,
i think this could be an interesant case, got a RX 6900 XT limited edition Sapphire Toxic Liquid Cooled, i went out for a week and when i came back my graphics card was doing some weird sh¨t.
I can use it for basics tasks, but when i run something that requieres heavy GPU power the screen goes black, audio keeps on, radiator fan at 100% then 5-10 seconds later it shuts down.
Ok, then some weird stuff again, next time i power on it says "USB DEVICE OVER CURRENT STATUS, PC WILL SHUT DOWN IN 15 SECS"... it must be a related condition,...

B450M H Gigabyte no display using Ryzen
Hi,
This is weird, I'm trying to "repair" this B450M H rev 1.1 Gigabyte, but it won't POST with a Ryzen CPU, i have tried with R5 3600 and R5 5600G.
Also, tested with F63 and F64a BIOS, same.
It just works when i install an Athlon 3000G...
All voltages are fine, I can't figure out what is happening, any expert here?

FPC52 LA-H462P DIS GPU not working
Hello guys,
I'm having trouble with this HP Pavilion Gaming, it has a discrete nvidia GPU, but it is not shown or recognized by device manager, i already update the BIOS to the last version, tried many drivers and there is no results.
Well, now I'm working on the mainboard, there is no VGA_CORE voltage
+19VB_GPU_FVDD is present.
+0.95VS_VCCIOP is present
+1.35VSDGPU not present.
+VGA_CORE not present.
VGA_CORE resistance to ground 1.2 ohm
I don't have schematic for this model, just the boardview...Last edited by piernov; 05-06-2023, 12:33 PM.

Re: FPC52 LA-H462P 0.3v instead 1.8v on VCC BIOS
I have finally solved it!
As a responsible member i share with you the solution.
UH2 BIOS had a blown resistor to pin 1. it is a 0402 size resistor so it was impossible for me to notice, but doing some analysis on the BIOS since it always had BIOS related symptoms i discovered it, then searching on another schematics i see there is normally a 0 ohm resistor, so i just bridged that then it worked!.
Thank you for your replies guys, SMDFlea you saved me life telling me it was UH2 the main BIOS...

Re: FPC52 LA-H462P 0.3v instead 1.8v on VCC BIOS
Well, i paid for it, programmed UG109 with the right BIN file. If someone need ask for it and i'll upload it (i don't post it right now bc i'm on a different computer and stuck working under preassure  )
Now I'm at the start point again... Checking the voltage rails there is not present CPU nor
GPU nor RAM voltage. I think i'll check now the BIOS data in/out with the oscilloscope but i guess there should be present RAM voltage first isn't it?

Re: Asus A555L sudden power off
How much current draws when it is working?
Can you boot and read the CPU's temperatures?
How much time you have before it shuts down?...

Re: DA0G3KMBCG0 REV G no display
Are you sure it is a BIOS related problem?
Have you tested the BIOS input voltage? GPU VCore? Tried connecting a monitor via HDMI?
Any error code?

Re: Msi gl65 9sd
If the hardware has no reason to be damaged then is a driver issue.
Some of the old drivers does not work for windows 11, then you have to update em.
I recommend you go to MSI web, search your model then go to driver/utilities and look for keyboard backlight related driver.
Sometimes it works just installing MSI Centre app, once there maybe MysticLight will recognize the keyboard and you would be able to modify it.

Re: FPC52 LA-H462P 0.3v instead 1.8v on VCC BIOS
Oh.. i think i f***ed up the situation,
i commited the big mistake supposing the BIOS chip was the Winbond 25q80ewsig (UG109). But you're right, BIOS is UH2 and i have +3V_SPI there.
I have flashed the UG109 chip with the main BIOS programomg i think at this point it is not possible to recover the original program for this chip right? i mean i don't have the BIN file for this chip.
... Then the problem may not be BIOS related...

Re: FPC52 LA-H462P 0.3v instead 1.8v on VCC BIOS
lol yeah, i'll find out the best chilli recipe hahah
Well... let's see
DC-IN Adapter connector on mainboard is ok, 19.73v.
Mosfets at entrance same 19.73V (PQB01 and PQB03)
* Resistance to ground of the BIOS VCC pin: 24.2 kOhm
* Power button is working perfectly.
You have reason about inject voltage, i started with 1v but didn't see any important current draw, then just raise to 1.8v...

FPC52 LA-H462P 0.3v instead 1.8v on VCC BIOS
Hello there,
I'm having a terrible time with an HP Pavilion Gaming, my customer just wanted a thermal paste replacement so i did it like always, i thought everything was fine, disconnected the battery before, use anti ESD gloves, work on a nonconductive surface and it is not the first laptop i do maintenance work.
Well... now the laptop won't boot, no video, i just click the PWR BTN, lights on for 5s then off, no fans spinning, no CPU voltage nor GPU nor RAM 1.2v.
I just have, AC IN 19.5v / 3.3VALW / 5VALW / 1.8VALW / 1.05VALW.
I'm not an expert...

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Hi,
I'm not new here but i'm posting or commenting threads, so the time has come and need to post information about a repair that is beating me
