  • Re: Sanyo DP46848 screen half dark

I hate to dig up this thread again, but I (think) after over a year with this issue, I finally solved it. Hopefully.

This morning I was feeling a little brave. Actually, more like I've been sick in bed and trying to watch the stupid thing I got frustrated and grabbed my laptop. After digging through the web for hours, I came across a video that was VERY helpful in solving this case. I apologize in advance for bringing up an old thread, but I'm having the exact same issue. I've done a bit of troubleshooting on my own. I removed the main board (video card, signal card, whatever you call it) and looked around for dark spots which I didnt find any. The problem goes away when you tap on the upper left corner of the housing around the display which makes me think its some sort of connection problem. I hooked the signal board back up but I didnt screw it in all the way. I wanted for the problem to occur and then wiggled the signal...
