• Bulged - Capacitor 390uF - 250V

Working on a Hisense LCD40V57CA, complaint no picture, no sound the power board fuse AC250V/AC125V T6.3A blows when I removed the cover I noted the CD296 has bulged and a brownish looking stain on-top, I have not seen any other Caps that are bulged. Would this be enough to not allow picture or sound and the fuse to blow?? I was just going to replace that capacitor then install a new fuse.

I guess my question is do I replace with the schematic values or the ones on the board?
Would this cause my speaker protect relay to shunt the audio when I go to try turn it up?
Also is there any way of...

Hi, I am Kirk and live in Chatham, On Canada, and after reading most of the night/morning I took the ViewSonic VA902B apart and found 3 bulged caps in the power supply, so I removed and replaced with the same/like capacitors and don't you know it, I am happily using my Monitor again as I type, just want to say thanks for all the incredible information that is here. Also if you want to see my other hobby go to http://www.kdracingteam.com/ and leave a comment or sign the guest book. Now onto the next project ATX power supply with a bad cap then onto my...
