Hi all im undertaking a repair of and old Hitachi tv model number C1421T-TEXT which has customer sentimental value .. the LOPTX has failed the type number on the label is DE50H0000152 which i believe is also HR7880 direct replacement . I have searched on google to no joy if anyone has any information to a remote possibility preferably within the uk to obtaining either the original or HR equivalent i would very much appreciate any help Many thanks guys Leo...

Seem to remember issues with EDID data causing sound issues through hdmi .. worth a Google search to download data

Correct .. ZDB804 should clamp 30v across the supply .. worth changing it may be leaky also CB813 I've had this capacitor cause issues in similar psu circuit .. even if capacitance and ESR readings are correct worth changing ..RB830 gone high ?.of course ICB 802 may be at fault dragging this supply down.. one other thing to check is rectifier diodes on the secondary side of transformer not shorted or leakiy .. also check resistance from cathodes to ground are not low shutting psu down .. hope this helps

Worth checking optocoupler ic in feedback circuit and associated components connected to it .. pwm circuits shut down fast if feedback is wrong
