• Re: VIZIO M70-C3 No Power/Power Board Help

    New Nichicon capacitors are in:

Not EXACTLY an exact match for size.

I used some wick to suck out the old solder. Soldering the new ones in was easy enough.

    I little tighter fit.

I put in a good bed of silicone.

Even though they look tight it would be very hard to short out the leads and the silicone is doing a good job of keeping...

After some very careful prying it looks like I have the correct values:

    1000uF 16v

I ordered the following expensive high-end capacitors as replacements. 1000uF 25v and 20000 Hrs life expectancy @ 105°C. These caps are a little taller but the same diameter as the originals. The board looks to have plenty of room for the extra length. I ordered a package of 10 from DigiKey. It was only a couple bucks more than ordering 4 capacitors. $25.31 with 3 day shipping. I could have gotten cheaper...

I have the same TV, a M70-C3 and the same 4 capacitors are bad on my power supply board. They are bulging. What is the value of these capacitors? uF and voltage? Is it worth to replace them with bigger capacitors?

My capacitors are strategically glued down to hide the values. I popped two of them off the power supply board and plastic wrap around the capacitors are strategically stuck to the glue so they can not be read.

    Thank you for the help!
