What is the expected lifespan of a resurrected VP6?

I have been putting off getting my boards recapped for a while, but now I have no choice since one finally died today

It's either recap, or build a new one.

After 6 short years with my VP6, I am going to be going into unknown territory if I do build a new one. My better half is on her 3rd computer (1 built, 2 DELLS) during the time I built the 1st VP6.

Even though this is my first post, I have known about the bad caps for a very long time and have been lucky enough to have 2 VP6's running for close to 5 years.

I was doing some upgrading on the computers - still using the VP6's - and noticed that some of the caps are showing serious signs of replacement.

Since I live in the Netherlands, I figure that it would be a lot faster if I did the repair job myself.

Now I have a few questions about the kits:
