hello there new to this bios modding and a little lost. i am trying to unlock hidden menu items in my aptio v4 bios but when i open it in amibcp there is no 'setup configuration' tab.
have found a cf-c2 bios which when loaded has the 'setup configuration' tab but i believe it is for a cf-c2 mk1. when i open it there is a debug tab in the bios settings which seems to have the options i am looking for.
is anyone able to enable this tab in the bios found here....

Just going to add my bios here for anyone it helps....this is dumped from a cf-c2 mk-2, model c2c.... it has the password nulled in two places and is in .rom form which is flashable from inside windows.... -

Havnt tried reset to defaults to see if it overwrites but there is no password request at boot.

Do you know what exact model your bios2 file is for? And what you edited to clear the bios password......would it be possible to edit in bios.rom or it has to be bios.bin?...Leave a comment:

out of interest is there anyway to flash the bios.bin file from post #45 but from inside windows? Or if someone who has flashed this bios made a backup bios.rom file......would that work?Leave a comment:

Thanks for trying hoaca......unfortunately that didnt work.
I saw that you had nulled out the password.....I think that was tried earlier in this thread and it was agreed the bios password is saved elsewhere also and gets replaced if nulled.

Hello all,
i recently acquired a cf-c2 with a password protected bios, previous owner has no idea what it is. The laptop is possibly ex police stock...uk.
so far i have dumped the bios using aptio afu tool....and then tried to decrypt the bios password stored in amitsesetup.
i cant seem to get any values to return that correspond to ascii scan codes.
this is the hexbody found using UEFITool NE....
