  • Re: Dell 24" monitor with bad cap...

Just revisited the monitor and found that it is an Elite 450V 120uF cap....

I know it's bad because one of the legs has corroded and is detached from the body, there is a 0.12 ohm resistor just after this cap on the PCB that is cactus as well.

Thanks for the fast replies too guys, much appreciated.

    Hi Everyone,
I'm an electrician from industrial/commercial/food/pharmaceutical background with Dip.Elec.Eng who loves to tinker with anything electronic or midly technical. I found this forum while trying to decipher which capacitor I need to repair a monitor.
I'm an Australian with a young family and a love for life......

  • Dell 24" monitor with bad cap...

    Hi Everyone,

I hope someone can help me.

I've got a Dell monitor that has a capacitor I am struggling to identify. It is 45mm long and between 10-15mm in diameter.
