• Re: Dell XPS 9570 ME Service mode Jumper

Thanks for any who will help, my question is, is it possible? It looks like it. I haven't gotten around to trying it out, I could also just glue a wire to the pins, don't have to solder them, could use wax or whatever.

    Service Jumper XPS 9570

Hey guys, there's an "SW4" area on the motherboard of the XPS 9570,

There are solder points, or connection points, most notably, the schematic describes that soldering 1-2 would enable "Service Mode" which would enable to me use IFPT to flash.

  • XPS 9570 High Temp GPU crashes - possible damage?

    Hey guys,

Have a slight issue, my laptop (XPS 9570) experienced several crashes after I forgot to connect the gpu fan header after replacing thermal paste

Was in a game, noticed several crashes, turned OC off, crashing gone but gpu temps were super high, restarted laptop, DELL thing automatic mode started, said gpu fan off,

Connected the header, crashing gone but now OC gone, crashes above a certain threshold,

Could something have gotten damaged? I fear that something could have gotten damaged in the chip in the power delivery, no idea...

And: would be good if we could pinpoint the issue and make sure it's not software side (since the description you gave could very well be, I mean it sounds like one), anyway if we could make sure that it's not a software issue would be great, anyway

Here's a similar issue, maybe it could be of help, you need the schematic diagram of your 670 anyway.

Does GPUz still read as GTX 670? What if you check or dump the bios version with nvflash? So do I understand you correctly that you were able to write the new/original bios on it?Re: GTX 670 identified GTX 690

  • Re: New Members - please post your introductions here

Hey guys, my name is David and I'm from Estonia, recently I got myself a XPS 9570 and got a pretty good deal on it, and am now looking to modiy and enhance it, currently looking into tweaking the TDP of the 1050 Ti on the board, but haven't yet bought a soldiering station and haven't gotten any further (I was able to extract the rom though from the bios update file), now I have the modified rom with a new TDP and need to inject it into the bios, and this is where I need help, was able to dump the spi rom with FPT but it's only...
