  • Re: Sony KDL-55EX500 solid green screen

I’ve tried wiggling the cable/connectors and when it seems like it’s working, the screen goes green again later on. What do you mean by taping? Like just securing it with tape?

I gave this a try today and cleaned the cable ends and connectors on the T-con board and main board with rubbing alcohol. The intermittent green screen still shows up.

Hi, Nopy here. I’m a materials engineer do not much knowledge when it comes to electronics, but I’ve been dipping my toes into repairing things that people throw out. I’ve found some useful threads on here in the past and thought it was about time I made an account.
