Thank you so much for your hard work on the board view! Minor correction for a comming v1.4; RP603 is GND on leg 2, not PP3V3_SW_LCD.

Re: MSI GP62MVR 7RF Leopard Pro Bios
Thank you for your kind suggestions. I am (kind of) new to laptop repairs but have been microsoldering for 10+ years so am confident with the tools we use. Everything looks perfect under the microscope, this should 99,9% be a bios related issue, it happened when the customer tried to flash bios, it went about 1/3 and ended in this state.
Now, it was mentioned by SMDFlea that the model number from the front doesn't match the board number. I just spoke with the customer and the computer was bought second hand. Is there any possibility...

Re: MSI GP62MVR 7RF Leopard Pro Bios
I am using the TL866 II Plus with Xgpro software and selected MX25L6473F as the chip, same exact markings on the bios chip.
I solder the bios chip directly to a SOP8 sub-board.
To my understanding Xgpro verrifies as part of the programming, but just did it manually after programming for the sake of this reply, it came back good and unfortunately still the same issue.
So you recon the bios file from the website should be good to go, for testing purposes at least, and should be able to be programmed...

MSI GP62MVR 7RF Leopard Pro Bios
Hey guys
Hope someone can help me with a new bios or maybe fix the original bios for MSI GP62MVR 7RF Leopard Pro.
Bios was updated through windows but something went wront and it ended up with a black screen. It reacts to the power button, keyboard backlight comes on and fan is spinning.
Board number is MS-16JB1
Have tried E16JBIMS.31A from MSI website (https://www.msi.com/Laptop/GP62MVR-7RF-Leopard-Pro/support#bios)
As well as an older bios E16JBIMS.30C I found on the internet. Both with same result. Can’t find...Last edited by SMDFlea; 07-06-2023, 05:42 AM.
