PlainBill, thanks for the quick reply... well, it looks like it's not worth the effort with the cost of lcd monitors these days. And all those pictures I took and uploaded along with checking the panel output voltages Better to know now and not mess with it anymore.

It's tough to find a 1900x1200 monitor these days... everything is now 16:9.

Hello, I'm the original owner of a Sceptre X24WG (24 inch of course) monitor and it started having trouble 18-24 months ago... I set it aside for awhile and tried it again the last week or so. I get a nice picture when it's first turned on, but I have a green vertical line on the right side of the LCD. See the pictures. When it first went out, after it had been off for a few days, I tried it again and thought it was working and then after awhile it would go out again.

I have tried to read up on the forum here before I posted my problem. I have a lot of pictures and I took voltages...

Hello from Utah, my name is Max and I found the site doing a google search on a Sceptre monitor that I have had trouble with. I have not been using it for months and decided to spend some time to see if I could fix it... anyway, I'll be getting into it and getting some good pictures for a new thread here. I'll try to dot the i's and cross the t's on providing some good detailed info for my new post about the monitor and how it's behaving. Sure seems like a Cap thing to me! Best Regards... Max
