Re: Panasonic TX49DX650B no picture
Further info re intermittent no pic,
If i disconnect the right ribbon connector, the right side of the screen goes white, If i disconnect the left, the left side goes white
When both ribbons are connected the screen is dark but strangely there is a 'glow' across the bottom edge stretching up a few inches
Q - if there was a minor error with the led strips could the main board sense a problem and blank off the video info?
Reminder - When not blanked off, the picture is great
Tis a strange...

Re: Toshiba 32d3453db no smart features
Thank you Yokoono -
Seems Main board is a 17MB95, so as I thought, 'Smart no longer supported'

Re: Samsung HG46EC890XB LED 5x blinks
Made no progress with this TV - corrupt date or locked in a weird arse hotel mode? - can't even match the Main Board, T-con or Screen numbers to a regular domestic model - maybe I'll come across a similar Samsung 46" with broken screen at some stage, make one out of the two?

Re: Skyworth LCD-42K03 - no freeview ?
Still puzzled about this Skyworth LCD-42K03, seems it was sold into the Dubai market and somehow found its way to the UK, bought another R/C but still can't find any digital menu - can't believe it's only analogue ???

Panasonic TX49DX650B no picture
Panasonic TX49DX650B - intermittent have sound & backlights but no picture, got LT feed to T-con fuse, tried a T-con board from Ebay but got permanent no picture with that so it got sent back,
Guessing it must be a T-con or Main board problem - anyone experienced (and cured) the same fault?

Toshiba 32d3453db no smart features
32d3453db smart features no longer working, logs onto router but then get message "there is an error on page no response from server", can't find any software update or download
Would I be right in thinking this model's smart features are no longer supported?

Re: Samsung HG46EC890XB LED 5x blinks
dskall - ps-on signal? -
On checking - there are ps-on signals coming from the main board - the 13v rail rises and falls according to the signal, but the LED's are held off -
so I disconnected the feed holding the LED's off, screen then lit up but no sign of any graphics on the screen - confirms in my mind that the problem lies with the main board - corrupt data?

Re: Samsung HG46EC890XB LED 5x blinks
nomoresonys - weird arse hotel mode -
it's a thought, but imagined it would switch on via buttons on the back
dskall - ps-on signal? -
seems there is only 1x 13v rail output to the Main board (and that's there all the time), haven't checked for a ps-on signal but guess it's not coming as the LED don't light (unless I disconnect the main board - ie the main board is holding the backlights off) - will explore tomorrow

Samsung HG46EC890XB LED 5x blinks
I have in the workshop a Samsung HG46EC890XB hotel TV - won't switch on - led flashes 5 times
Some Info on web says possible PS or LED - but I'm doubtful - with Main Board disconnected LED's light up fine, LED tester shows led's ok, only other output from the PS is 13v feed to the main board, that reads at 12.8v on my meter
I'm thinking it's a main board problem (BN41-02160A) - corrupted data?
Any thoughts - anyone have facility to check/repair this main board?

Re: Vistel 17IPS19-4 V1 Backlight Flashing On & Off
There are 2x leds strips each with 54 leds - each strip has 2x separate strings of 27 leds
Today's update -
I now firmly believe it's a fault with LED's - yet I can see what
Why? I was using the scope to compare each of the 4x strings returning to the driver IC TPS61199, on connecting to one of the 4x strings the blinking stopped! didn't stop if I used the multimeter, seems the scope presented a different load? so I swapped that return with one of the others, sure enough the effect moved, the blinking...

Re: Vistel 17IPS19-4 V1 Backlight Flashing On & Off
Control chip - LED driver IC TPS61199
Yes, I'm wondering if the 'blinking' is being caused by 'over volt protection', that would fit with the 'blinking' only happening on low led setting, and stops on 'dynamic' picture setting
LED supply voltage reads around 77v with multimeter - which ties in with the reading from the LED meter, and each string is 27 leds @ ~3v = ~81v
But I replaced the PS, so - both PS's faulty?
Or
All 4x LED strip faulty? - consisting of 27 led's...

Re: Vistel 17IPS19-4 V1 Backlight Flashing On & Off
Have now replaced control chip but no cure - all 4x led strings test the same voltage and current draw on LED tester - Seems a common problem with this PS across a range of models - strange can't find answer...Last edited by CoolJc; 02-27-2022, 05:32 AM.

Re: BUSH LED40127FHDCNTD, flashing LED'S
I have the same blinking problem with a JVC LT-40DG52J
Have we concluded it must be one of the leds breaking down?

Re: Vistel 17IPS19-4 V1 Backlight Flashing On & Off
Any info from anyone grateful received -
JVC LT-40DG52J with a PS 17IPS19-4 - LED driver IC TPS61199 - backlights rapid 'blinking'
I understand a HITACHI 40HXC06U has same arrangement
Imagined it must be a PS fault - bought S/H replacement from Ebay but no cure, chances of finding a panel with exact same fault seems low?
Removed screen to check LED bar - LG INNOTEK 40INCH 7020PKG 54EA edge illuminated arrangement - 2x strips of 54 leds across the bottom edge, each strip has...
