So update on progress hopefully you can help. I ended up taking ribbon cables (4 of them) off of the t-con board and cleaning both the ribbons and the seats where they plug into the tcon board. I also took the tcon board off and cleaned with rubbing alcohol and still did not get a picture.
I ended up ordering a tcon board offline and installing the board. It fired up right away but the issue I'm finding is the tv will still turn on with the same half screen display after being on for a bit.
I can turn the tv on and watch...

So I'm having the exact same issue with my Sony KDL-52NX800 with the exact same issue with the picture as shown I've tried to reseat the ribbons and clean the tcon board but no changes. You mentioned cleaning and reseating the ribbons on the panel which actually fixed your issue was this a permanent fix and do you have any tips how to access the panel. I've taken off the back panel and removed the tcon board to clean but not sure how to get to the panel to access the ribbons there. Thanks in advance....
