Hello everyone. As the title says, I need help with enabling dGPU support on my Acer motherboard. It has a pcie 3.0 x16 slot which I would like to use with a gtx 750ti I have laying around. However, upon booting it up with the dgpu, the bios tends to crash. It just freezes at the Acer splash screen and becomes unresponsive.
Upon further research, I discovered that everyone with my motherboard faced this issue. Apparently, it was just not possible because the bios happened to be some hybrid of a uefi and legacy bios which led to dgpus having a tough time figuring out whether they...

Need help identifying the missing cap on the back of an i5 3570
Hey guys. I have an i5 3570 with a capacitor knocked off from the back of the cpu. I got it with a semi faulty mobo that I got for really cheap. The rest of the cpu is in a bad shape as well but its mainly cosmetic damages. I did try to run it and my test bench booted but the system never posted. It just got warm. Re: Acer IPIMB-AR R1.02A bios corrupted. Need help.
It works. Thanks a ton. However, it still takes a long time to POST. I could manage with that. All I had to do was flash the bios update file to solve that issue.
Really appreciate your effort. Cheers and have good year ahead!...

Acer IPIMB-AR R1.02A bios corrupted. Need help.
Hello everyone. As the title says, my bios is corrupted. I have already checked every other possible solution like ram position and reset cmos but nothing worked. After some scavenging on other forums, I discovered that it had something to do with video output. Not sure what else is damaged in the bios but I managed to take a dump of the bios.
I wanted to reflash the bios chip with another dump from the net. Unfortunately, I could not find any for...

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Well I have nothing to about myself except for the fact that I am always ready to learn. I am merely a hobbyist and has a great passion and deep interest for anything that is technical and mechanical. Folks on the forum also seem friendly and helpful. Have a great one. Cheers!
