on't think the CPU on my board is shorted either, it was the same sic631 fault and I injected voltage into that 1v coil and there is no short, the voltage does not go down in theory if it had caused a short the drmos would have damaged the part of the cpu that powers that source I mean that when it detects voltage it should drop if it were shorted the vr_svid_alert# signal is sent by the isl95855 I have not found a block diagram of this ic to see what signals it needs to give the svid_alert at a high level if you find something...
