X1 Carbon 5th Gen - Skylake (Type 20K4, 20K3)
Hello all,
I have been given a Lenovo X1 Carbon 5th Gen - Skylake (Type 20K4, 20K3) which I think has a corrupted bios. I believe someone previously attempted to remove SVP and startup error 0199 and did not flash with correct files.
When attempting to power on now, the LED's flash on and then straight off, nothing further happens from there.
So I am able to connect and dump with CH341A and AsProgrammer (although dumps are only 1mb) - I was expecting them to be 8mb (WINBOND bios).
I have tried to flash with original bios from [URL="https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/gb/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/thinkpad-x-series-laptops/thinkpad-x1-carbon-type-20k4-20k3/downloads/driver-list/component?name=BIOS%2FUEFI"]Lenovo...

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Hello all,
I am new to computers (repairing to be more accurate). I have always taken a keen interest in computers but never had the time to delve inside and see how things work. Over the last year, I spent a lot of time getting myself familiar with inner workings and now have started to challenge myself in getting bricked systems up and running.
I will no doubt ask for help and offer help where I can.
Thanks
