Hi guys, back on the fourm again after a break from the hobby of board repair. Sometimes life gets busy.
Hope to now continue to have some fun here as well as learn more about computer electronics and sharpen my electronics skills.

Hi all
Trying to identify this mosfet driver ic on my XFX RX470 8gb. I don't have the schematics or boardview to assist. The markings on the IC are AZ1. See picture.
If anyone has the schematic or board view I would much appreciate it if you shared it! 🤞
Failing that, is there anyone who can help identify this component?

R9 290 Missing PX_EN
Have an R9 290 I'm looking at. Seems I don't have a PX_EN. What should the voltage level typically be for this signal? What is required for the GPU to give this signal? Thanks... -

Just to update this thread for anyone who may be interested.
I reflowed the memory ICs and replaced the BIOS chip with a new flash. The card is now working!

Thanks will have a look next time I get a chance. Going to wait for a 1.8v adapter for my programmer and have a look at re-flashing. It uses a Winbond W25Q80EW 1.8V flash memory chip.

Thanks. No broken caps. no shorts found in diode mode.
3.3v on PEX_RST goes through an AND gate ok. AND gate has a 1.8v Vcc and 1.8v output.
I have had an oscilloscope on the refclk +/- and can see a clock signal.
Not able to see and signals on the pex tx/rx lines though.Leave a comment:

GTX 1660 BIOS Beep Error
Have a GTX 1660 SUPER VENTUS. When trying to boot its giving me a beep code error. I get 1 normal beep followed by 3 fast short beeps.
All voltages on the rails and resistances are correct. The GPU gets warm.
Tried in a different PC with the same results. msi b450 pro motherboard.
Any ideas?

Anyone able to help me identify this SOT package component. I cant find a definitive answer when trying to look it up online. I believe the markings are MXX H8
The component dimensions are approx. 2mm x 1.3mm.
