Got it to work!!!
Did what kc8adu said, left the battery out, put it on clear cmos for TWO days before I got around to testing it again. This time, did one thing different, left the cpu fan unplugged from the mobo. Fired it with just cpu and heatsink and heard the sweetest music ever: beeps indicating no memory.

THANK YOU GUYS FOR THE ADVICES!!! If I never stumbled on this forum, would've thrown out 3-4 boards....

ok forget about teh post above, but i think i recapped it wrong. the caps before were 1500uf 6.3v but i used 1500uf 10v on all caps. is there certain caps that i am supposed to keep it at the same voltage?

also, the heatsink doesnt seem to be hot after powered on. Im using the stock socket 370 p3 heatsink (very small aluminum type w/ 40mm fan)

heres the specs:
Abit sa6r recapped w/ rubycon (18)
p3 800 (pulled from a different working system)
128 pc133 memory
antec 350w

ok here are the readings:

2x 1.668 (closet to cpu)
1x 1.5
1x 1.8
rest are 3.3 and 5.0

status of the board was same, powers on, no post. suspected of bad caps (leakage and bulkiness). cpu is in working condition (tested in another system) how do i measure the voltage on teh cap?

Tips after unsuccessful recap?

Hey guys,

Just recapped my Abit SA6R (jackson for rubycon) but seems it still wont post. Before the recap, I get a blank screen but everything still turns on. Same results afterwards. The LED and fans power on but it wont post with just cpu, memory, vid. I resetted the CMOS, battery, re-seatted the cpu, but still nothing. Any ideas (if i might of done a bad recap job)?? Any way to test the caps I replaced?

Thanks for the helpful info willawake!! The board has been sitting in my closet for a couple years now becuase of the caps. Now I have enough info to fix it, luckily I didnt toss out the board

The board is ABIT SA6R. Heres a pic of what Im talking about, sorry only camera I have is a camera phone. These are the smaller caps. The one just to the left (not circled in red) is the bad cap that Im going to replace (Jackson 1500uf 6.3v). Just wondering if I needed to replace the smaller caps circled in red (Jackson 100uf 10v)...

Recap also the polymer caps?

Quick question on the Polymer Capacitors. I have a dead board with defective/cheap capacitors, all Jackson. I am going to replace the Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors(vented), but should I replace the Polymer ones(non vented) too?

The Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors are not flat at the top which is why Im replacing them. The polymer ones looks normal. Should I be worried with these (being a Jackson brand and all) or can I just leave them alone?
