Hi there,
attached a shot of an ECS K7VTA3/KT333. Five of the nine Taiwan Ostor Corporation (OST) 3300uF RLX Series 10x25mm caps bulge, the other four don't.
Two of the 1000uF RLS Series OST caps elsewhere on the board also do not really well and look like having stuffed cheeks...
As the 3300uF caps are densely packed I have difficulty to find a place selling respective replacement types. If anybody had tips for where to look in Europe, please let me know.
Thanks and have a good day,
SuchANiceGuy...

Re: ECS K7VZA (PC Chips M807)
Same here - the broken stuff is the well known G-LUXON 6.3V 2200uF garbage - twelve of them twelve bulge, so no surprise about the random rebooting, bluescreen and all that jazz with the random switching off or not starting from time to time....
We'll see what happens after these are all replaced.
All the Best,

Re: P4P800 Deluxe - any bad capacitor sightings?
Yep - just look this here, its mine and showed all the right symtoms in the right order... :-)
You can easily see the difference between the (undamanged, flat top) Nippon Chemicon (NCC) 1200uF KZE Type Caps right next to the connector side of the board and the (bulging, partially stained with brown speckles) of the broken OST (Taiwan Ostor Corporation) 1500uF RLX Type Caps right next to the black plastic CPU cooler fixture.
Unfortunately these are 8x20mm Types and I have a hard time to...Last edited by SuchANiceGuy; 03-11-2007, 05:14 PM.
