Re: Macbook Pro 15" 2019 (A1990, 820-01814) CD3215 shenanigans
So the 2 CD3215's that I placed could both be just bad? That would be hilarious...
It takes 5v on one side and 20v on the other side with or without battery connected, should've mentioned that.

Macbook Pro 15" 2019 (A1990, 820-01814) CD3215 shenanigans
Hi! Thanks in advance for taking your time reading this / helping me out.
I have this MB Pro which had a defective CD3215C00Z. After replacing that one, I figured out that I needed to replace the other one as well since I only had CD3215C00 chips (without the Z at the end).
Now the funny thing is where I replaced both the CD3215 chips, it takes 5V ~.32A and the other side that I didn't touch now takes 20V ~.45A (then drops down to .03A).
Do I need to replace the 2 CD3215 chips that I didn't touch as well? Feels so counterintuitive so I'm having...

Hello! My name is Joey and I'm from the Netherlands. Been interested in technology my whole life and I'm finally starting up my career as a repair technician (mainly focussing on Apple products and game consoles). Been looking around this forum for certain issues I come across for certain products and everyone seems so helpful here, so that's why I decided to join and maybe help out other people where I can.
I'm excited to join!
