Re: Gigabyte RTX 2070 WindForce No RGB, USB-C and E43 after Short on PCIE_12v
Update:
So i've managed to get some references and a general founders schematic to get some clues from and it's basically completely normal not to have USBC until initialized. These cards do indeed have USBC PD, so it does make sense for this converter not to be used for anything else.

Gigabyte RTX 2070 WindForce No RGB, USB-C and E43 after Short on PCIE_12v
Hey guys,
So i got this RTX2070 Super from Gigabyte for cheap and the reason i actually got it in first place is, because it initially had a full short on PCIE_12v, so my plan was to basically feed some juice in it on my test bench and see what gets hot using my thermal camera. This would have potentially been a quick repair, however things didn't actually work out quite as planned.
Whenever i hooked up one of my lab power supplies to my testboard to feed the 12v rail, well, even tho i had it current limited at 12v, the charged capacitors actually blew the 10A Fuse...

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Hey everyone, I'm completely new to this forum, so i just wanted to introduce myself real quick, as recommended.
Anyways, for quite some rather specific things that i've been trying to get component level information during the last time, i always stumbled across this forum for actually having very good and helpful information.
So i'm running a small, mainly german YouTube Channel for several years now that has some of the things on it i've been repairing, but actually i'm really looking into creating a lot...
