Really appreciate this post. I had the power reset cycle issue with my LN46A550P3F, for about 5 min before it would eventually come on. Replaced C102 and 131 and I am good to go!

Turned it on in a dark room, didn't see any arcing. Not sure what ozone smells like exactly, but I didn't smell anything out of the ordinary...Leave a comment:

I re-sat all connectors. Still same. All the soldering under D1 looks ok. Is there a way to determine for sure if one of the bulbs are bad? That would be game over I guess...Leave a comment:

Sony SONY KDL-55EX501 6 Blinks, Loud Buzz, Reset
Sony KDL-55EX501 showing 6 blinks. I replaced the inverter board, when I powered on, I got the sony logo, chime, then a loud buzz, reset, and it repeats twice, then shuts off, gives 6 blinks again.
The buzz sound appears to be coming from the largest grey component on the D1 board in the pic. Any ideas? (sorry if the pic sucks)... -

Ok, I will give it a shot. So I was using a desolderer, with the bulb that sucks up the solder. The soldering iron I have is a 15/30w, usually use it on 30....Leave a comment:

The main board is a BN41-00679D. 6/26/2006.
Some of the capacitors had been replaced before as part of the warranty. I think when I unsoldered this time, the solder pad lifted up on 2 of them. Dead in the water?Leave a comment:

Hi all, I have replaced the 7 recommended capacitors on the PSU as recommended, but still having the picture go out after the TV runs for a while. It gets pretty warm.
The picture will not come back on unless I reseat all the connectors on the PSU board. Then once it gets warm, it cuts off again.
Any ideas?... -

So it turns out it a ribbon cable was detached that was out of sight. Once that was re-attached, I was good to go.
So in my case, this was a bad YSus board - PKG42H5G1. Picked one up for $40.

With the main board disconnected to the panel, and no source plugged in, the screen goes all white for a second, before going dark and the indicator turns yellow/orange. If I have the hdmi plugged in, it quickly flashes white, then goes dark.
Testing voltage from power supply to main board is 5v DC.
Was there a concise test list on a specific post? Thanks!
