Re: Looking for a Service Manual for Traktor Kontrol S4 MK1
Just for the record, I got a new CY7C68013A from China and, after a not so easy replacement job, now the Traktor Kontrol S4 MK1 is working again.

Re: Sony STR-DE635 EQ mutes everything
If the Factory reset didn't solve the issue it may be a DSP issue.
Try the DSP TEST MODE....

Re: Pioneer vsx920 lock
I also found a Windows APP that will allow you to control your VSX920 and even toggle the PANEL LOCK function. You can download it from this link:

Re: Pioneer vsx920 lock
Or if the previous trick doesn't work, try with these steps (assuming you have the IP address of VSX920):
Use a computer that is in the same network (whether via WLAN or LAN cable).
1. Estabish a telnet connection to the receiver; this is quite simple.
With older computers with Linux or Mac, it is sufficient to enter telnet <IP> via the command prompt / terminal. For Windows computers that do not know this command just download the small free programme Putty and then use it to establish a connection. Enter the IP address...

Re: Pioneer vsx920 lock
Try this:
To unlock the “RESET [LOCK] you simply go into “Standby” mode - hold the “Speaker” and “Standby” buttons for 10 seconds and “Key Lock Off” is set.

Re: Looking for a Service Manual for Traktor Kontrol S4 MK1
I found the attached guide so I checked the CLKOUT pin with a scope: I see a good signal for just a second then it reduces its amplitude a lot but I can still get the frequency that is the same as the crystal, 24 Mhz.
From the guide I can read "Suspend mode happens if the FX2LP is not seeing the regular start of frame (SOF) bus signals from the host and WAKEUP# is high."
I checked the WAKEUP pin and I see 2,89 V....

Re: Looking for a Service Manual
Yep, it uses the separate 24LC64 eeprom.
D+ and D- are not shorted according my meter and they are connected directly to the USB port.
There are two fuses on the USB ground and +5v lines and they are good.
Windows 7 gives "USB Device Not Recognized" with or without the S4 drivers.
What filter should I check?...

Looking for a Service Manual for Traktor Kontrol S4 MK1
I got a NATIVE INSTRUMENTS Traktor Kontrol S4 MK1 with the common issue of a broken USB Type B port. After I replaced it the controller can't be recognized by the PC: I tried with several Windows and Mac PCs with the latest S4 drivers.
All the correct voltage values are present so I suspect the issue could be the USB controller IC: CY7C68013A-100AXC with a 24LC64 eeprom.
I looked around for the service manual with no luck so I wonder if someone could be so nice to share it.
Thanks!

Re: Sony HCD-SH2000 No sound
If IC100 was faulty, I think the system would not switch on at all.
Have you checked all the power lines?
What about pins 63, 71 and 72 on IC100?
Considering the "pulsing" of pin 51, I would check all the pin values arriving at IC100.

Did you check Q207? It seems to be the common component to mute all the amplifiers.

Sony CMT-HX80R HCD-HX80R stand-by led blinking
This "not-so-old" (2008) nice Sony stereo system had the quite common issue with the PS in protection mode: the usual blinking of the red stand-by led.
PS itself was fine but there was a short on the +7 V line. After a while I found the C702 be the reason for the short: it's a 470uF 10V FOAI electrolytic capacitor (oddly enough that my MESR-100 meter didn't provide a notice for the shorted components).
I replaced that faulty one but the issue was still there!
So I checked the other 3 identical capacitors on the main board and I found another one shorted on the +9V...
