Re: Dead Vizio
Thanks for your response. Are they the two larger flat transformers on the power board? If so might one be defective, causing the fets to go? Where might I get some information on this circuit....

An inverter takes DC and makes AC. So you need AC to run the back light is that correct? These FETs are gated by the AC?...

Dead Vizio VO320E
Good morning techs. Need some help. I have been in electronics for over 50 years but as you know it changes fast and left me behind.
I have a Visio VO320E that is completely dead. I know it is old but if possible I would like to repair it to component level. I have located a few components that are bad and have ordered them from somewhere on the planet.
I have circled the components that are bad. Two FETS and one Thermal resistor.
I assume this has something to do with the display in some way. Any help would be great....

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Well good day. I've been repairing electronics when they were vacuum tubes. I have a Vizio VO320E I need a repair manual or schematic. anyone knows where I can get it would be helpful. I know it's an old TV but I just have a challenge I would like to fix it to the component level. the unit is completely dead and I believe it would be the power supply board that's the problem. Thanks
