If you get black screen after driver install, usually that mean fault memory chip.
Try to testing with mods/mats....

Gigabyte RX 6500 XT shortage
Hi guys,
I have a Gigabyte RX 6500 XT gpu.
The gpu has a shortage where I drew the red circle. I measured 0ohm resistance.
The card won't power up.
Then I desoldered the coil and gave power to the card.
Many voltages are there as you can see on the picture.
On the mosfet of the coil I measured 3.258V, and the shortage there is on the other side of coil.
Somebody knows what is this coil?
Maybe this is the 3.3V line?
(I dont have boardview or schematic so I'm just guessing...)
Good idea injecting 1V here this point... -

It seems to you have a shortage on memory line. (0ohm, 0V)
Remove the coil from the pcb and measure the resistance on the two pins.

I did not inject power from outer powersuply, because the gpu is powering on.
I have vcore so I there is not short in the circuit.

Haha, the shortage is gone. The bios chip is wrong and its made the shortage.
After replace this chip the card is booting and give picture on DVI output.
According to mats/mods I have memory error on A1 bank, failing bits A034 and A050.
I reballed the memory but nothing changes there is error on A1 bank, failing bits A034 and A050.
I'll buy a new memory chip to see if that fixes it problem....Leave a comment:

Gigabyte GTX 1080 G1 Gaming voltage present but not detected
Hi guys,
I have a Gigabyte GTX 1080 G1 Gaming 8GB gpu. The earlier life of this gpu is unknown.
Fans are spinning on full speed.
All main voltages presents but gpu not detected by motherboard.
The voltage on pin 1 of the bios is constantly 1.8V
During visual inspection i noticed a brown spot on the top of the chip.
Maybe burned this GPU?
Does anyone have an idea where I should go next?
How do I check if the GPU is still alive?

I have a GTX 1050 2GB gpu. If this the first the mats say PASS but if this gpu is secondary I got errors
first I use this:
