found it. just didn't put the last bit and found its a common mosfet, bought 2, hopefully this fixes my problems

have this exact monitor, worked great for a few years. untill i moved to my new apartment, it had some powerup issues. to where i had to turn it on and off sevral times to get it to work right. otherwise it would just show the "powerd on" status on the LED

yet the screen is dark. i put a bright light on it i can see that it is indeed on. but no backlight. so i figured this was the issue. maybe?

i took the thing apart. pain in the but...

and got the power-supply and noticed. the caps look ok. but...
