Re: HP Omen 17 AN113NS it does not work
I have already bought the original charger and I am waiting to receive it. Now I need to know the values of three capacitors that I destroyed by clumsiness when desoldering an IC and a mosfet. Could someone help me?
If I look at the datasheet of the bac(sy8288), those capacitors go to pin 15 and 14. I can assume that the one on 15 is 4.7u-6.3v but the one on 14 would be 1000p-25v?
In the BQ738h it is more evident that it goes to pins 1 and 2, being the capacitor 0.1u-25v. Am I totally confused or did...

Re: HP Omen 17 AN113NS it does not work
Understood. I know what AD_ID means. My ignorance was to blame. I'll buy the charger and post the result. I have a charger but it's from an Alienware. I thought that since it didn't work with the hp, the laptop would be bad. Thanks for opening my eyes...

Re: HP Omen 17 AN113NS it does not work
I don't use a charger from HP. I don't have a charger for this laptop. I use a laboratory source....

Re: HP Omen 17 AN113NS it does not work
If I press the power button nothing happens. Only the power light comes on for an instant. This light never comes on when I plug in the power supply. I don't use a power supply. I only use a 30V and 10A laboratory source. That would be enough amperage to start it....

Re: HP Omen 17 AN113NS it does not work
First of all, thanks for your interest. I will try to be as precise as possible:
All coil voltages are measured by plugging the power supply into each of them.
The 3.3v coil falls to 0v the second after plugging in the power supply, without pressing the power button in any of the cases.
The bios chip receives 3.3v and the second drops to 0v....

Re: HP Omen 17 AN113NS it does not work
All coils are not grounded. The gpu and cpu coils have very little resistance, assuming this is normal. The others range between 40 and 420...

Re: HP Omen 17 AN113NS it does not work
All measurements were taken with an automatic multimeter. It is a fluke tester.
I always use a 30v 10A power supply. At first the voltages were disparate since the power supply varied voltages. I already repaired it obtaining safe voltages.
With the source regulated at 19.50v, which is the input that is placed on the laptop's casing:
Mosfet 1:
1,2,3 - 19,53v
5,6,7,8 - 19,53v
8 - 25,53v
Mosfet 2:
1,2,3 - 19,53v
5,6,7,8 - 19,53v
8 - 25,53v
I understand...

Re: HP Omen 17 AN113NS it does not work
The 3 and 5 volt coils always work when I plug in the power supply. In about a second the 3.4 volt one stops working.

Re: HP Omen 17 AN113NS it does not work
By the way, when I connect the charger or source, at no time does the connection led light up. Curiously, it lights up if I feed 14.80v with the source. In case this gives you some idea of the problem

Re: HP Omen 17 AN113NS it does not work
I'm sorry I didn't answer before but the time difference is important. I also tell you that my knowledge in electronics is very small but I have the necessary tools to replace any component as a hobby. This laptop is mine and I would like to be able to revive it.My English is very basic but SAN google helps me. Having said this, I will tell you my measurements:
All of them are made without any connected hardware (battery, hard drive, etc...). Just the motherboard.
The two input mosfets measure with the power supply...
