the images provided have the EC separate so there is also a separate EC on this laptop? I did look up on the EC List on here and didnt find my flash chip on the list. I apologize if this is a dumb question. I will attempt to flash each of the images main section to see

I don't see a serial number on the outside case as that has rubbed off (I have looked everywhere for it, including the other side of the board under the shielding they put on it (which is a new one for me). he machine type is 81VW or the S340-15IIL Laptop (ideapad) - Type 81VW from what I can discern. is it possibly readable in the BIOS image (maybe that portion isnt corrupt?) the board is the FL5C5

Edit: looking at the DMI section of the image I find it is MP1WXNYD

I have a Lenovo Ideapad S340-15IIL with what I believe to be a BIOS brick
I get nothing on screen (and nothing on HDMI port with diskplay unplugged) and no drive activity attached is BIOS dump.
anyone have a good BIOS Dump for this?...

it doesnt react to the power button, im not sure if that was me or the image so I will be flashing the original to confirm and update here tomorrow thank you very much for your speed and hard work

I am trying to get my data off this laptop and seem to have added a BIOS password so cant even boot anything I did try to use AMITSEDecrypt but I have no idea what I am looking at. can anyone help remove or if I can just find it to type in?
the make;model is: Gateway GWTC116-2BL

Thank you Guys, I guess it was more then the BIOS but Peste's image made a change (actually spins up and shows more of a sign of life then before)

attached is my dump looking in uefitool both ME and BIOS regions in here.
I got no display but power at the board and fan spin and all seems ok so leaning towards bricked BIOS anyone have a clean full dump? I am also trying to learn this myself so will also attempt to do this myself and close the thread if I figure it out thank you...

hey everyone, im new here (obviously) I joined this fourm so I can get access to schematics. I am just starting with board level repair. done some larger soldering and been in computer repair all my life. just recently started jumping into micro and low level board repair. previously I just did kits and what not. planning on using hot air (because its not cheating if your new) and kinda picked up the basics with some youtuber's (adamont and Rossmann) I also look forward to reading everyones experiences with the repair and hope...
