Caliper? sounds high tech. I don't really have a caliper but i think i can measure it in mm with an ordinary ruler. It is 8x5 mm.Leave a comment:

The board is from a laptop that gets power from an ac adapter which may explain why those resistors aren't very big? lol Am not a genius at electronics.Leave a comment:

uhm interesting.
Now, Am wondering if a bad capacitor could be causing the power to continuously recycle -causing a strange humming sound. It is a very low humming sound however.
