    Re: HP OMEN 17 Model: G3BE N17E

the file you attached have different md5 than mine so probably another version.
One strange thing is that i flashed the original bios , and started my omen , still black screen 5,3 blinks etc . I desoldered bios chip again and it reads a changed md5 so something was updated on it and i don't understand that.

Seems like the EC is good because fans spinning and both spu and gpu get somewhat warm , i havent done any electrical tests yet.
So EC can't connect to BIOS....

    Hello Experts,

Can someone handy help here and verify that the bios files are ok ? Previous owner said it died during install of windows 11.
I have 5 long and 3 short blinks on caps lock , it will not boot.

I have tried bios 08466 , still same result , no boot.
I can see serial number in BIOS-file so it is partly good i guess.

    Re: Lenovo L380 bios dump

Hello , i found the issue to be the Bios chip itself. I reprogrammed it and it gave error on some blocks every time. Ordered new bios chips for china. Got them today and flashed the downloaded L380 bios from this site itself.
Soldering it back and it worked. Obviously no trusted platform data is within the Bios.

    So this L380 is saved.
    Take care

    Hello!
as beginner on bios i need help.
Bought a faulty L380 with error 0285 and wonder if it can be repaired by cleaning up ?

Can someone with a trained eye take a look at the bios file and revert with suggestions, or even a bios file i can try to flash back....

  • Re: New Members - please post your introductions here

    Hello everyone!

I am very late posting this introduction. I am (hobbyist) repairing synths, computers, old DAT players , Minidiscs etc and enjoys old hardware with gears aswell as tiny qnf soldering using hot airgun. I am slowly getting better using forums like this and yt videos to learn from others. I did alot of videogames modding back in 2005 and that where i got to learn soldering technique. But my interest here now is reading/writing and building bios images.
    Glad to be here!

    Cheers!
