I disassembled this TV to fix one of the backlight led strips. In the process I managed to disturb one of the plastic flex cables between the glass and the circuit board situated along one edge of the frame. It simply detached itself from the circuit board. The contacts on the board and the cable look okay. Can't figure out how it was attached in the first place. Some special bonding process I'm not familiar with. Is it time to toss it?...

Hello all. I'm the usual Jack of all trades, Master of none. Started at a very young age (i'm 63) trash picking discarded electronics. TV's, radios and anything else that looked interesting that I could take apart and and maybe even get them to work! At age 14, got a job making $1/hr at a TV repair shop.
