    thank you momaka for that tip, i only recapped the hi voltage side of the PSU, and that stopped the buzzing.
    i only have one rail for the 12v coming out of the PSU but i got 2 rails outputting +22v from 3 wires, measuring the output is 23.6v if the PSU is not connected to any other board but after i connect all the boards it measures 22v

    the amplifier board carrying the p55ne has another 12v regulator on it, tracing the output of that regulator it is supposed to supply 12v to the red wire connecting the...

  • need some help repairing a Jamo SW 3015 active sub

    hello everyone i am new to this forum, came here as per the advice of some friends, hoping to find some help repairing an active subwoofer i have for more than 10 years now, it is the Jamo SW 3015 active subwoofer with THX dedicated input , it was in storage for about 3 years since i moved to a new place, and i decided it is time to put my home theater back up ,however after bulging it in the sub and hooking it up to the amplifier pre out it did not make any sound , the on standby light came on but no sound with a faint buzzing sound coming from the amplifier plate, i turned it off and back on...

    hello everyone i am new to this forum, came here as per the advice of some friends, hoping to find some help repairing an active subwoofer, a good electronic repair advise is becoming hard to find with every passing year, most new electronic devices are cheaply made in away that they are not cost effective to repair, in my search for the remaining skilled engineers in this art i was told that i can meet the best of the best in this forum, as for me i got some basic knowledge in electronics and soldering, i am a machinist by trade...
