Ya that master pass was a nogo. Heres the BIOS from the website but its just the .exe I tried to cabextract it and get the rom but it wouldnt let me. Can you work with this or should I hunt around for the actual file for you?

So I just built a new desktop computer and when I play some games I hear a slight electrical squeal noise for a minute while the game loads then the sound goes away. I noticed this sound over the last couple days only right now its followed by an odd dullish, headache inducing smell. This isnt the first time I've smelt this smell from a computer and I'm curious if this is actually a symptom of a bad or blown cap. I haven't inspected yet but soon will. Any thoughts on this?

If your laptop was pushing a BIOS update the one time you lost power during the process would be suuuuper unlucky.

If you havent already tried, connect the HDMI output to an external monitor or TV and see if it gives a signal. It will either show up immediately and you will see the the POST logo or it will take a min an appear at windows login. If you are getting the picture then you most likely have a bad screen or screen cable connector.

If that shows nothing then its possible your cpu/gpu has gone (which isnt good), you have...
