Rtech,
i just checked the D-Sub cable again, and working fine on a good monitor.
PCBONEZ,
i understood that i can put up to double of the original caps, so i took those caps from an old MoBo, thought they will be fine. should i order new caps from ebay? i read here that it's not that good to recap a lot of times... afraid to damage the PCB......

Re: Lite-on R17AA "No Signal Input"
i couldn't find how to edit my first post so i uploaded the pictures to this post.
Rtech,
the monitor was dead before the recap. only after the recap i got the "no sifnal" message.
i checked all the plugs. tried to pull them out and plug them in again, everything sits fine.
sorry about the pictures, i uploaded them again now.
PCBONEZ,
the brand of the original caps were capXon so i replaced them with new Radial Electrolytic caps found on [URL="http://cgi.ebay.com/10V-1000uF-Radial-Electrolytic-Capacitors-105a-f-5pcs-/110672515205?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item19c4989085"]eBay...

Dell E196FPf all white after recap
Hi,
i have a Dell E196FPf monitor that showed a very "low light" picture.

after that, i turned it on and all the screen is white, the light is ok, but white screen is all what i got.
what should i check more?
here's some pictures of the...

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Hey everybody,
I'm Oren from Israel, 28yo, found this great board through Google, while searched for a solution to my E196FPf monitor that suddenly stopped working.
I prefer to fix what i can at home by myself, it's my hobby and i produce much pleasure doing it (save's a lot of money, too $$$ )
I really exited to find this board because it seems that there's a lot to learn here.
I have 2 "dead" monitors that i like to fix (tried to fix them by replacing capacitors but still...
