Could it be a simple LED strip change or is it most likely a bigger issue with the LCD panel? -
Whats the difference in LED strips?
Only been fixing up blue tint LG TVs, common suspects have been the 16/17/18 models.
I was wondering, is there any difference between these LEDs?
My usual routine was

>Type Model Number
>Find cheapest, quickest delivery specific to that model no
However I've noticed a lot of these have the same amount of LED's but with different numbers. Does it really matter if the title/descpription doesn't specify the Model I require. Thanks everyone! Finally got it all undone, and unfortunately the 2016 screen wasnt compatible for the 2017 model.
Does anyone know anything about the LED question though?
I used my LEDs from the broken strip with LC43490059A ( 7 LEDS) to replace another blue tint LG TV but the LEDs in that one was LC43490058A. It worked but can anyone explain what the difference is?Leave a comment:

So managed to get off the back cover and bezel but now I'm stuck at the panel part
The thin narrow board connected to the panel at the bottom appears to be stuck, its got hook like plastic on the top and the bottom. This TV's a real problem to take apart :/
Anyways I've attached pics of what they look like and if I could swap them over if anyone knows (when I finally manage to get the panel off the bloody thing)

Yeah got a guitar pick tool too. Just seems to carve into the plastic of my tool

Hi everyone, I'm fairly new to the whole TV repair process so had a few questions and will probably have a lot more in order to learn from you lot.
I collected a few TV's yesterday from FB.

I was wondering if it was possible to get the panel from the LG 43UH620V and replace it on LG 43UJ635V.

New guy learning how to fix tvs to make a profit, from UK London!
Started off replacing LED strips on my 2 tvs due to blue tint and interested to learn more. Seen a lot of tvs at the dump and people giving them away so would like to learn how to diagnose problems with a tv. Watched a few vids from jimmys, to frugal repair to some guy called allen. Just get a really good feeling when seeing a tv going from 0 to 100. So here I am, learning from people who have had similar problems in the past.
