Re: LC-55P6000U Backlight Working no Picture
Hey so I believe I checked all the caps on the driver board and didn't find any shorts :/
I'm gonna check again tonight to double check, but I don't see any diodes on the driver board or the t-con board?

Re: LC-55P6000U Backlight Working no Picture
Okay so I may have found the short but I'm not entirely sure
In this video:

I'm using the setting that makes a noise when it detects a short I believe, and the component I am analyzing sets off the voltmeter (the voltmeter reads 0). But when I switch the voltmeter to the 200M setting and read the component I get a 0.9 reading, so I'm unsure if this is a short?
Is the component I'm checking even a cap or is it a resistor? In the first...

Sorry about that the manufacturer is 'Sharp'. What do you mean by bevel board? Would that be what I referred to as the driver board?...

So my issue seems to be somewhere on either the t-con board or the driver board. I know this because when disconnecting the right side pin connectors from the t-con board I get half of the tv to work. When I plug the right side back into the t-con board and unplug the left and turn the tv on, I see some light come to the same half of the tv and it fades into just a black screen (with the backlight still on).
What can/should I do to further troubleshoot? Is...
