And i still don't get one thing. The pin17 LDO is an output for the converter, so why it is not burning hot trying to push voltage in this line (shorted to GND)? The reason I think is the missing enable signal. But that missing signal is not related to the missing LDO line, correct? So anyway I have another problem on EN1 source?

Sorry, i did not understand the last part about the removing EC chip...

I'm looking for a new EC already programmed to change mine, but i don't find anything. Can you help me? In addition, i would like to exclude any other possible issue in addition to the EC. I don't want to change the EC and burn it instantly cause other thing are bad.
The model of the pc is the on on the title...

At 1V and 0,4A the EC goes up to 40°C.
I don't think its normal. There Is amy chance that the coulprit Is not the EC chip but something else?Last edited by giulio93; 06-03-2025, 08:49 AM.

Just 2.7 Ohm. you were right! So the pin17 rail Is shorted to gnd.. to find the shorted components i can inject 1V in this cap and see what goes hot, correct?...

The main Power rail Is present and PIN17 Is not shorted to gnd (and also pin6 Is not shorted to gnd)...

PIN6 is about 20Kohm to ground (going down, i supposed couse af a charging cap)

PIN17 is at 0V
And i remeasure all the caps around the EC chip and they are all at 0V. I don't understand why you sayng the EC chip is powerd...Last edited by giulio93; 06-02-2025, 03:27 PM.

I've measure all the caps around the EC chip (little doubt: the EC chip and I/O chip are the same thing, right?) and there were no voltage. I will now measure at pin17 of the EC chip and tell you the value.
Where is the +3VALW pin? On the EC chip or the converter?
Thanks...

considering the trial I did, now i order some of this chip to try the replacement way. What do you think? No changes also with the EN1 up (externally given)...

I tried to inject 3.3V at the missing Enabling signal and nothing happen. The EN2 Is generated by I/O chip, correct? Of yes, how can I/O chip can generate this signal if It Is not powered?

Looking at the PU301 diagram i think it's a problem also having 0V at pin1 and 6. Am i correct?

I swear i triple check the measures but i get wrong all 3 times. the PIN12 is 0V...

Here the V on PU301
P1 0V
P2 P3 P4 P5 19,98V
P6 0V
P9 0V
P11 4,6V
P12 4,6V
P13 0V
P14 0V
P17 0V
P19 0V
P20 0V
The other pin are GND or NC from the schem.
From these measurment are we understand that this chip is not working properly or is missing some "enable" line that activates it?
Thanks again...

How Can I find the 2 power supply ICs? How can I recognise them? Furthermore, if i don't remember wrong, i should check the I/O chip power before the bios chip. Isn't it?
Here the resistance reading of the inductors. No one reads 0Ohm or near it...Last edited by giulio93; 05-31-2025, 07:06 AM.

I took the measures. Without the battery plugged in I have 0V on each inductor. (che grey chocke). With battery plugged in (V_batt is 11.5) i have the 2 tension in the pics. I dont remember if i said it or not so i will say again now. The pc stops works due to a screw fell into the PUB1 zone....

I have no power to the I/O chip and on the bios chip and so on.
Anyway now i will measure the voltage and send a pic of them. Are you going to be online tomorrow to continue the troubleshooting?...
