I have an optiplex 3000 micro with BIOS admin password and absolute that I cannot remove myself due to it being an 8fc8 version.

The chip is soldered in the right orientation but I made a dump of the BIOS after flashing the unlocked file and the dump matches the locked BIOS. Are these XMC BIOS ICs commonly write-protected?Leave a comment:

I have flashed the XMC BIOS IC with the unlocked file and the only thing the laptop does is shows an Amber status light only when the power button is pressed. No fan spin or other signs of life.Leave a comment:
