  • Re: Apple MacBook Unibody Mid 2010 A1342 (820-2877-B)

Okay so I have found out the solution! The issue I had was that the ram sticks I first used were dead or incompatible with this Unibody/Polycarbonate MacBook, which is why those did not work. Second issue was that a single RAM stick (original stick) in the bottom RAM slot did not work. It wouldn't post. I had to put one RAM Stick on the top slot for it to boot. That let me reset the PRAM and Boot! I know the other RAM stick wasn't dead as the machine boots with both inserted. Really odd behavior.

  • Apple MacBook Unibody Mid 2010 A1342 (820-2877-B)

This device has a firmware password, not a firmware pin code. I have tried to find "$SYS" on this firmware, and nothing shows up. Removing ram (or changing it whatsoever) causes the computer to beep at boot endlessly. I have changed the drive as well, and there is still a firmware password. I have ran out of ideas, please help me remove the firmware password....
